Benissa is one of the oldest towns on the Costa Blanca. It’s an area of beautiful coastline and countryside. Terraced vineyards, mountains and palm trees.
Midway between the coast and the picturesque Jalon Valley, Benissa old town is the same as it has been for centuries. The narrow streets, shops, churches, town square (Plaza) and the town hall along with a large array of typically Spanish restaurants and bars.
In Benissa town the properties are mainly 3 storey village houses which are deceptively spacious inside and there are also apartments too.
Heading away from town along beautiful winding roads through terraced countryside you will reach Benissa’s 4km of coastline. The sea views are wonderful, and you will find lone country villas and fincas dotted around along with the occasional restaurant.
Benissa property in these areas are set amongst vineyards and often have large plots together with panoramic views to the sea. Although many are not aware the municipality of Benissa has its own coast and view the area purely as ‘the coast road’ between the towns of Calpe and Moraira. Having said that, the visitor can find a mix of cliff tops, sandy beaches, rocky coves and tiny bays along the Benissa Costa.
Leaving the town of Calpe is the sports harbour where you would find windsurfing, kayaking, diving and many other water sports being taught.
In this area property mainly consists of luxury first and second line villas which overlook the harbour. Named ‘Les Bassetes’
Further along the coast is La Fustera, Cala de La Llobella, Cala l’Advocat, Baladrar and Cap Blanc where there are many urbanisations mainly mountainside such as Montemar, Fanadix, Buenavista, Los Almendros and San Jamie which sits on the boundary between Benissa and the municipality of Teulada Moraira.
The beautiful countryside and coastline along with the amazing climate make Benissa extremely atrratcive to visitors. Surprisingly the property prices are relatively cheap for the north Costa Blanca. You will be able to get a lot more for your money in Benissa property wise rather than in either Calpe or Moraira which is only a 10 min drive.
Typical of this area are established urbanisations with 70’s and 80’s built traditional villas with thick walls. Quite often the villas have separate guest apartments and have established Mediterranean gardens as well as a range of luxurious sea front property. The Benissa Costa is beautiful and lush green. With its little coves, picnic areas, beach bars, mountains and exceptional views of the mountains, sea and the Penon de Ifach (rock of Calpe).
To sum up..
Property in Benissa offers you excellent value for money. You have shops, banks, beach bars, restaurants and the Mediterranean sea. It’s a serene location, beautiful views, local facilities and with the mix of the livelier towns of Calpe and Moraira close by, this area can offer the visitor the best of both worlds.
